Happy Camper here :biggrinjester: Cant wait to shoot. And proud new RED owner. Lucky guy. Have fun and do post some footage if you can. R3Ds would be eben better. Pretty please :hurray:

His dealer ordered his in March???? I ordered in January. My buddy ordered in September. Neither of us have.

thx guys! will post some footage soon... if its worth it lol  still got to learn im use to shoot with a 5dmk3.

how's the transition been so far for you, from DSLR to the Raven. I'm jumping form a D750, so it's going to take quite a lot of getting used to for me. Anything in particular that stands out to you?

Yes Batteries choose wisely and more storage 128 goes unless you plan on carrying a laptop with you to transfer the footage.

One main thing you will need to get used to is buying hard drives. I ended up getting a 20TB storage drive for my self a few years ago, and I always insist my client brings his/her own hard drives. I will back up peoples projects sometimes until they are finished but red cams eat up space fast.

RED cameras seem intimidating but have no fear they are very forgiving.

Thanks for the Info guys. I ordered and extra battery and 256GB Mag with my Raven. I'm very interested to see how long those two will last. But I'll probably have to qait a few more monts to find out, as I ordered my Raven on 26th.Feb.

But I've been very pleased with the footage that I've seen so far.

Make sure you order the Mini-Mags not the 1.8" SSD. The mini-mags are only available in 120GB, 240GB, 512GB, and 1TB capacities.

sorry late reply :) but man the jump was so worth it i'm still getting used to the compression ratios and all but for corporate vids and youtude demo videos i think pro res is such a time saver. Effin love my Red and never going back to dslr's lol :eek6: still amazed about the raw capabilities but i need more mini mags...
