Now I was able to start up the camera and see some images. Since I didn't get a touchscreen I had no way of enabling the HDMI out. After fumbling around with the Redmote I was able to get it up and running. My only wish is that there was a quick start guide for connecting it and setting up the "slots". It took me about an hour before I realize how the mote really worked, I was looking for an actual menu to open up for controlling the functions. So now that I got it up and running I was able to load the new firmware on both the camera and the Redmote. Both loaded up without a hitch, which is good because I was slightly nervous about that after hearing some of the reports of issues.
Now I just need my side handle so I can get away from the wall outlet.
