Finally did some rough test with my #01258 walking in the park, don't judge it to hard :)

1. Camera is far beyond my expectations - pretty promising.
2. Battery runs out of juice like a crazy, already order set of v-mounts - would be more appropriate.
3. Color correction has to be set-up with control surface, cause R3D fine tuning is extremely sensitive to even tiny changes of any data value.
4. Seriously thinking already about going to PL instead of recycling old Canon inventory, could work for a while but cinema camera needs cinema lens, thats it.

Canon EF 50 1.4 Canon EF-S 10-22 Both lenses shows significant aberration especially when I work at full 4K resolution. This make me feel like I need an upgrade to cinema lenses.

I love the slow moves and the interplay between the foreground and background! Nice atmosphere. Color correction is a bit harsh to my eye.

I wouldn't call it "color correction" :) I just play with workflow - see how it works. Try to converting day into some kind of "moody twilight". These tricks really sensitive to initial dynamic range and I think RED - is the way to go. Nothing you can do with 8 bits after being already killed with 4:2:2 MPEG as well. RED is WAAAAAAAY better. Wish RED TEAM to figure out uncompressed RAW workflow one day. Sooner or later it'll be possible.
