  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

FinalDCP Player beta testers wanted for closed beta

Any news/update on the DCP player?
 
Hi Luis,

the Beta is going to start this week (of cause for Mac & PC). I'm setting up the webside for the Beta at the moment.

The first run will be a small closed Beta. We are hoping to release the Player this summer for the public, depending on how well the Beta goes.

So the beta officially started!

I'm excited to here all your thoughts and suggestion about the FinalDCP Player! Please be brutally honest, because that's the only way, we are able to improve the software to your needs.

Sorry to all who didn't get into the beta, but we decided to keep the number of participants small, so that we can better react to feedback.

Well... I'll then be brutally honest. First you post messages because you're looking for beta testers. We sent you an email. We didn't hear anything from you. The least thing you could do is to answer with a formatted email, it's called politeness. Then you say "Sorry to all who didn't get into the beta", so does that mean that you've done a selection and the people who emailed you and didn't hear from you aren't in the beta group ?

Well, we'll stick with EasyDCP then ;-) Their software offers much more right now anyway.

First thank you for your honestly!

I know we have issuse, how we communicate what we do. We are working on that. I know we are late with what we have prommised and I can totally understand your point.

This decision was made, because we are late and want to offer you a good product as fast as possible. The player is not feature complete at the moment so our though was to start a small beta to get the most prominent problems sorted out FAST and then can present a much more stable product, that is much more useful, to a broader audience.

I know that is the purpose of a beta, but I also learned that not everybody understands this.

We value every opinion and especially the opinion of the people who tested our products and decided it's not for them, because only from them we can learn, where our biggest problems are.

We are definitely open for suggestions, what we can do better to make this a more pleasant experience for all.

Beta player???? Where is it?? I was told I'll get it by Monday 22/04/13 and I am still waiting. I am 100% sure they missed offering me beta version by mistake.
