Today Estebanred and me went camera in hand to gloomy "Unilago" a huge and demented place for electronics here in Bogotá looking for a 17" to
22" LCD screen to monitor Red's output, but returned empty handed.
We tried around 5 or 6 Screens from different manufacturers as LG, Viewsonic, hp, and different resolutions. With an hdmi cable hooked up to a dvi converter we could only get a signal on the monitor using the 720p option, the DVI option would not show up in any of the models we tried.
Also when we got the hdmi signal, we were able to see the basic menu, but not the histogram timecode etc.. thus we tried in vain to get a dvi signal.
I read the previous thread regarding the hanns g screens, but it seems people are having problems with those as well, and the issue of being able to view the histogram etc. seemed unsolved...

Any success stories?
Anyone from Red care to comment?

Please help..we have to get one soon!

Thanks , Take care

P.S. having a lot of fun with the camera!

Thanks Curran
We have read about the Dell, the thing is we wanted a sort of portable cheap computer monitor that we can carry around as a video assist. Something around the 17 to 19 inch. We had seen previous posts by Jarred about the Hanns g 17" with DVI input, and the LG Flatron 206 that red has. None of those available locally, so what we need are some specs that we could compare with those available locally... But still after reading a lot we dont seem to find anything that works, specially on the DVI output. On 720P we get a signal, on DVI/MENUS we got nothing out of 5 or 6 different monitors. We need specs that we can look for here, something official that could give us a lead down here. Thanks!

Just to reiterate, on build 16 with my camera, the aspect ration on the hanns g 17 is stretched. No one seems to know why. I sent red tech support a query about it but never heard back.
