hey guys,

so I followed the tutorial included with the final cut studio plugin and created an offline sequence with the media manager in final cut pro. I then changed the setting in the log and transfer preferences to native and closed the window. I then moved on and tried a batch capture but it wouldn't let me do it as described in the tutorial and gave me an error message instead, saying that I don't have an appropriate deck connected to my computer. Since red raw files are all digital there is no deck needed. what am I doing wrong here? how can I get final cut to come up with the log and transfer window instead on a batch capture command?

thanks in advance
cheers

Unfortunately, if you didn't capture your original media using their workflow (that is, using log and transfer), you can't get the finishing workflow to work properly. The laborious workaround I ended up with involves moving the shots that are in the movie manually into a different folder, and then just doing a log and transfer on that folder.
