First time editing RED footage in FCP... what settings should I be using?

Footage details: shot in 2k resolution, 2:1 ratio. All footage converted to Quick time 720x480
Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) Codec.

Some of the footage was shot at 60fps... how do I convert this footage to render in slow motion?

this is going to be a short film that I will try to enter into some local festivals...

But will it be shown as a film-out or electronically?

Regarding fps: if your project was set to 24 fps and you shot 60 fps, it will be slo-mo from the start.

So why don't you convert it all to ProRes in 1920x1080 and edit online?

It will yield excellent quality without conforming back and forth.

If you accidentially shot your slo-mo in a 60 fps project, you can re-conform it's speed with Cinema Tools.
