I downloaded and installed correctly both RED files available from the Support page (Codec and Installer) ...I read all of the White paper on the workflow for ProRez and Quicktime....Nothing to do, my Final Cut Pro refuses to show me the R3D option in the Preferences of the Log & Transfer.
So far I have had all sorts of suggestion, even to re-install a perfectly legal & working FCP and OsX with all the last upgrades.
:idea:Can any one help at Red ?

Hello Susan
I'm not even at the ingest/transcode stage. I' still trying to get the R3D to appear in the Log & Transfer Preferences window.....

In the Red FinalCut Whitepaper.pdf:

Method 1: Transcoding to ProRes 422
Step 2: Open preferences

RED FCP plugin does not show up....That's were my problem is!

OK, I'm goofy, so I may be off on this.

Go to File ->Log and Tranfer, and new window pops up, it says Log and Transfer, at the top. The window is divided in two parts, one side files (lists), the other side a viewer. On the files side (left), in the upper right corner is an icon that looks like a gear with a down arrow, click on that, you should have three options, one being "RED log and Transfer plugin", then you take it from there. Kiss method, keep it simple.
