Im upgrading to Zeiss ZE lenses for my Scarlet (from Canon EF primes, non Ls). With this step up in in lenses I am thinking about upgrading/making sure all my filters are also up to par. Do you think the Tiffen ND indie bundle for $200-300 for 3-4 filters is of the same par of the lenses? Or should I stick to like B+H (maybe others..). I feel about $80-150 each filter (77mm size) is about right for very good optical quality. Do you agree?

Im also considering just keeping my current mix of filters till later this year when I will get a mat box and just buy rectangular filters. Again, about how much is appropriate in invest in 4.5x6 filters that are of the same quality?

thank you.

Hey Michael,
I'm selling my Zeiss ZE Duclos modded 50mm f1.4 and 85mm f1.4 mint condition in a few weeks. Pm me for details if interested.

Get 82 mm with set-up adapters - then you are ready to cover any SLR lens, present and future.

Nothing wrong with Tiffen filters - Formatt - Schneider - they all have excellent optical quality. But look into IR fixing before you buy any NDs.

thanks i already bought the ZE lenses.

as for ND filters, yes I was going to buy the combo NDIR ones, should all of the filter densities be NDIR or just about ND9 and denser.. I hear something about not stacking NDIR or can I just use one NDIR and a reg ND in a mat box and block all the IR?
