  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Filters for the RPP's

So has anyone tried screw-in filters on the RPPs yet?

The MMB-1 with the 4x5.65 works well with all RPP from 25mm-300mm (horizontally and vertically). Tested in 2:1/4K.
However, I did a test with the 25mm and the filter tray will show up in the corners IF you stop midway
(45 degrees) between horizontal on your way to vertical. But the full vertical is fine.

Thank you Joseph.

Do you have any grads with you? I would really appreciate it if you could tell us a bit about their adjustment limitations with the 25mm in a 16:9 frame.

5x5 and 5.65x5.65 are really bastard formats. You can certainly accomplish what you need in these sizes but You'll be hosed if you try to rent, most houses don't stock a very good selection of filters in any sizes except 4x5.65 and 6.6x6.6.

Yes, so I am thinking that the best place to be we will be having two MBs with one being a 6x6. Yet an other item to add to the pros of two camera shoots.

Roberto, I don't have any grads, just ND's. I'm almost certain if it goes
down to 18mm or less, it will show the sides when vertical, but I don't
have anything less than 25mm at the moment.

Indeed, but with a two camera shoot a 25mm would work most of the time on one of them.

Thanks anyway. If you come across some please do. Thanks again for your posts.
