Filter Test Results-

[Ryan E. Walters]

Ever wonder what a particular filter does to the final image? Well I recently shot some test footage with the help of Shawn Nelson, Jerry Turner, AJ Brooks, and our ever patient model Mary Nelson. Hopefully this will be helpful to you:

Oh, and there are sample frames that you can download for evaluation at the blog posting. Enjoy.

That was a lot of work! Thank you. Nice to be able to see the efect in 1 place.

I did notice something weird going on with the RPP 85mm "Double Classic Black Soft 1/4". Some sort of flare/distortion on her right cheek (viewers viewpoint).

Yeah, it was a lot of work!

Good eye- that is from the filter being held by hand in front of the lens. It was held as still as possible, but it was rather awkward to hold in front of the lens as it was a 6x6 filter.
