Hello everybody, need some help with finding excellent locations for shooting scenics, broll and interviews in India.

Its a lighting fast tour to several place but specifically New Delhi, Varanasi, and Shanti Niketan. If any of you fabulous people could offer any practical advice on good locations for showing the local colour and just getting some really nice scenics, it would be most apreciated. We are scheduled to be in India the month of may and for many of us it will be our first trip to the country.

Thanks!

One advice - streamline / minimize your crew as much as possible, especially in New Delhi and Varanasi. Shantiniketan means "abode of peace" in our language (Bengali) and while it is not as peaceful as it used to be it is still far removed from the city bustle. Be prepared for overwhelming diversity, you will find "really nice scenics" of all kinds - a sparkling mega mall right next to a mini-jungle right next to filthy slums right next to a half a millennia old Mughal fort right next to posh skyscrapers, etc. etc. Watch out for the intense dry heat in New Delhi and the 95+% humidity in Shantiniketan.
