Filmed James Cameron, Peter Jackson and Quentin Tarantino today.....

[Michael Chase Gordon]

I had the privilege with my job to field produce and dp, a directors round-table today. The directors talked about so many important things that go into making great films.
Tarantino was excited and eccentric , where as Jackson and Cameron were very down to earth. Also Jason Reitman, Kathryn Bigelow, Lee Daniels were there as well.
Peter had some good things to say about Red and him and Cameron were asking me about my Panasonic GH1, I was using for a B-roll roving angle. They were saying they were amazed at how fast the cameras are getting better as well as smaller.
Peter mentioned he is excited for the arrival of Epic. The amount of great info from this table was crazy! I will post links up soon once we have them edited.

Can't wait to watch the Director's roundtable. I watched the DP one, great stuff...wish we could watch the raw uncut footage!

[Michael Chase Gordon]

The Directors RT is coming along great and should be out soon!

The Directors RT is coming along great and should be out soon!

I can tell you that they truly seem to all be in favor of 3D because they lose so much to video piracy and they said 3D will cut all that out for the near future.
I drives me crazy to think someone would want to buy a bootleg of Avatar shot with crappy audio and a cheap dv camera on their small home TV and get the same experience.

[jacoblied]

Hi is there anyway we can see the entire footage? I really want to see the stuff that was cut out as well, thank you Michael!

[Matthew Bennett]

Unacceptable skew on the GH1 footage...

just kidding

Cool gig, man, so much talent in one small table there!!! Thanks for posting!!

[NormLi]

Wish these were longer!

[Barry Gregg]

Why is PJ the size of a hobbit?

[Julio Quintana]

Man, I hope Tarantino isn't serious about retiring due to digital projection. That's like Barry Bonds retiring over Astroturf.

[Steve Sherrick]

So I guess Quentin won't be coming to Vegas in April.

[mikeburton]

Why is PJ the size of a hobbit?

Ha, I was thinking the same thing! Maybe Tarantino is just getting bigger.

[Chris Mierzwinski]

Awesome bits. Dont think i've seen such a casual ensemble of these great directors yet.
Thanks for sharing.
