Just attended a screening of Richard Kelly's (Donnie Darko, Southland) new film "The Box". I went into it without having watched the trailer or even seen the poster. So I was completely rid of any preconceptions. Boy was I pleasantly surprised..
This movie is easily one of the most important films of the decade. Truly a film of our times and if you consider yourself the slightest thinker, GO SEE THIS FILM.
Richard was kind enough to get up at 3AM to do a teleconference with us and had some great insights into the film. Such a nice guy. What's interesting is that he purposely kept the film PG to reach the widest possible audience.
Seriously. See this film. Everyone will draw their own political, environmental, life, religious, love conclusions whatever. Just see it.
