Just ordered my Fiilex LED kit.

http://www.fiilex.com

These things are supposed to have the highest CRI in the industry, incredible optics that give a single source specular, dialable color temperature, and the smaller unit - the P200 is a color changer that uses a fiber optic element to diffuse the light. Really crazy stuff.

Will post more as I begin using them - should start tomorrow.

I think these things are going to take the lighting world by storm - not terribly expensive either - and super lightweight.

Hands down, some of the best lights I've ever used. For my style of shooting, I doubt I'll use anything else from now on...

Haven't seen or used these yet - how do they compare with the Dedo 150's in terms of output and quality?

I would say it is brighter than a dedo but different beam style (talking p360 here).
an ellipsoidal fiilex would rock.

gonna switch out my p200 for an extra p360.

these are super natural looking lights when used as a bounce or with a soft box. Decent amount of punch for the size and such clean clean output. The high cri really looks amazing on my epic.

A 9 light of these could easily easily replace a 2.5k
hmi for what I do and you could probably put three x 9 light on one 20 amp circuit.

Wow! So you'd say the p360 have more punch than a 250W HMI fresnel? At ~95 CRI that is pretty impressive.
Think I'll get a 301 kit of these :)

How loud is the fan on these guys by the way?

As the guy who started the brand Fiilex, I will always be honest about my products in it's strengths and weaknesses. To answer your questions: The Fan noise on the Fiilex P360 is around 20db, super quiet you could mount this to your camera and you probably wouldn't notice. I wouldn't say it's higher output then a 250 HMI but for sure more than a 150 dedo, and having smooth color tuning from 3000K to 5600K is pretty valuable.

Nine lights why stop at nine?

Thank you. Great having you here!
Hope the Q500 is right arround the corner :)

Is that with or without the fresnel? I just ordered a P360 with all accessories, can't wait to play with my profoto modifiers!

No Joke - you guys are going to love your P360s. I'm curious to try the fresnel and any other lens options that come out. I'm not going to say I was disappointed by the P200 - but it doesn't have the punch that the 360 does - in fact - I would consider the P200 to be a LOT more specialty light - but if you need a colored hair light or rim light - I would not hesitate to use it without the fiber optic tube in - then its like a fixed focus Pin Spot with color and dimming adjustability. Again - the CRI on these is just ridiculous. On a visual level and on the scopes - it's very clean light.

I find myself using it to bounce off environmental surfaces a lot for an even more naturalistic feel. It has enough punch to be effective at doing that. I too am looking forward to the even more powerful heads - but for an interview kit or augmenting natural light I can't imagine being happier. Extremely effective and portable lights. check my instagram (dan_kanes) - I've been using them the last two days on a feature, and if I can get permission from the producers/director I will share some nice images - otherwise I will have to tell you when the film is coming out. Have to say these things have been a life saver so far though in tough conditions.

I'm imagining using these for stills or Still/Motion...yessssssss

Light + Byte is dealer, we are talking to Bico and Lights Camera Action, and Lightequip as well. You will soon have Fiilex across the pond.

i am really torn about these....light quality is great, size, accessories are incredible at a great price.....but power is just a little on the weak side....if there is any kind of ambient daylight (especially here in LA) these are just a touch too weak.....with dragon (at iso 2000) in studio, these should be perfect....
i was excited to use them with modifiers but that just cuts the light too much.....outside use (with the fresnel lens) is actually usable for limited situations....even in bright southern CA sun....but like i said, limited....
they are great units, great light, incredibly small package...great price.....
in a way i would prefer something twice the size with twice the output...even if that means twice the price...
