I am looking to buy a HD SDI Field monitor. Something small 7". Looking at the Marshall and the Small HD Any feed back and suggestions would be appreciated..
Thanks

I think that TV Logic makes the best small monitors now. You may also consider IKAN- they have come a long way...
these would be my number 1 and 2- with the other you mentioned 3 and 4 respactively

Yes.. thanks I just took a look at the TV logic .. found some good reviews and also some not so good reviews about the Small HD and calibration issues.

Ted,

Check out Boland...They are multi-input depending on the model

I don't have the spec off-hand, but we have a 7-ish that we use as a field monitor....It is a freakin' work horse...We use it in a variety of remote locations - Bahama's, Belize, DR, etc. We bought a hood for it for "high noon" sunlight when shooting exteriors. Works equally well in the studio - Red Epic Houston, etc.

We attach it to a tripod and tether it to the camera with about 10' of cord...

Knock on wood! we have had for over 7 years (the older model) -- the picture is awesome and it handles the heat pretty well. We find we have to significantly shade it when it gets over 105 degrees ambient temp in the tropics -- not much experience with it in cold wx.

Like I said, it's been a workhorse...

OLED review coming soon. One thing I noticed with the SDI connection is that it does not transmit DVI/Menu on the R1MX, but only Preview.
