FI]irst Scarlet X footage!

Come on all, I keep seeing this post line up at the top and I assume there is "Scarlet footage" and nothing. Lets use this forum much more productively. We all do it from time to time so not passing any blame here. Everyone relax. Now I don't have Scarlet footage, but I did find a site with over 2000 RED specific videos. Hope this helps pass the time as we are waiting for the ever longing Scarlet footage:

My recommendation: click on the name of the person you want to ignore. It'll bring up their profile, and you have an option there to ignore all posts from that user. Use this tool instead of responding. I did!

Same here. It really works - I have no close as to what some of the folks are posting here except when others quote them. It's great!. :thumbup:

Dudes, did I miss something? Isn't the footage posted by Tonaci original Scarlet material? I think it really is. The man even posted links to the r3d-files on his vimeo-page ... So why isnt there the usual "wow look at these terrific images" hype ;-) cause ... Man .... These images -even though only flowers- do look terrific! ... More so the original r3d-files in redcine ...

A big thank you to Tonaci for sure, but I think we are all looking for a bit more than a quick 5 second shot. It would be nice to see a range of tests, some behind the scenes of somebody (doesn't have to be Tonaci) handling Scarlet, and discussing menus, experiences, etc.

When I see the native R3D files (not on Vimeo), I can say it's a real REDCAM, for cinema use : not as good as any EFP cam with low lights. Even with a sun light there, noise is already visible at 800 ISO.

A good lighting setup is a mandatory with a Scarlet-X if you plan to shoot with it in low light conditions. Even in "A girl with a dragon too", they used a lighting setup, like on any other cinema set.
