  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

FedEx Delivery!

I'm really, really sorry about saying this, but what does this have do to with Scarlet or RED or anything else that should be in a professional digital cinematography forum?

I think we need more moderators... This forum is reaching a certain "critical mass" which is becoming way too large for the current number of moderators.

If anywhere, this thread should have gone in the Off Topic section.

I've been following this forum for more than three years, and it's always been neat, orderly and organized. However, with all the posts like these, that sense of organization is starting to disappear. At least, that's what I'm seeing in the Scarlet section.

A lot of professionals and students come here to get advice and help on RED-related subjects. If we keep seeing posts like this, imagine the number of threads we'd have to dig through to actually find some useful information.

Also, try to avoid writing in bold red letters. It hurts my eyes.

Am I overreacting, or does a post like this honestly belong on Twitter or Facebook or somewhere else...?

Brian, I think Joel's post is very relevant as a follow-up to another post about shipping and insuring RED camera/accessory deliveries. http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?68484-FedEx-Package-Lost-Wrong-address-issue

Martin, I'm personally not too worked up as to whether it belongs in a particular category, but there was quite a discussion about this last week in the other forum which was not met with such scrooge-ish comments this holiday season. :-)

Brian, Joel's post did reinforce my point about the fact, I HOPE..!!!????, that when we check the insured value for $40K on the fedex form, the newly unemployed, former FEDEX delivery person, has the forethought to not heave your Epic/Scarlet over the fence.

FedEx's response is pretty naive...This happens all the time unfortunately.

Happy Holidays

If someone were to make a thread with a link to a YouTube video every time a carrier service threw a package over a fence, we'd have a lot of threads here... :)

Happy Holidays to you Jack and everyone else here. =)
