I've been lurking here a while and have found some incredibly helpful info. I've also seen a few others promoting their projects here, so I figured I'd do the same. I'm basically trying to get some support for a feature film I'm producing/directing and spreading the word about the Kickstarter campaign we currently have going:

We're covering some of the budget out-of-pocket, and we're only looking to raise $6000 through Kickstarter to get it shot. Not bragging about how cheap we are, just pointing out what we're working with, and yes, we are paying people. Pledges start at $10, and everyone that makes a contribution will get at least a digital copy of the film and a "Thanks to" in the film's credits. I wrote the screenplay and will be producing and directing. I graduated from Seattle Film Institute in '05, have been freelancing as videographer/editor for a few years, and completed a 25-minute short that was shot in a single take back in May. This will be my 1st feature film, and the 1st time working with the Red One (not shooting it myself - will be working with an experienced DP).
The concept of the film, which is based on a story I read a few years ago about gene therapy for depression in mice, is that a guy with a major depressive disorder takes part in an experimental procedure to have the depression gene removed. At first, he's happy and life is good, but with the absence of depression, other negative emotions start to take over, like anger, fear, paranoia, etc. I guess this would be a psychological drama with a sci-fi concept. We've gotten an insanely good deal on a Red One rental and we're well into pre-production. Feel free to check out the fanpage on Facebook for more info, become a fan, and if nothing else, help us spread the word. I would be greatly appreciative, and indebted, and I'm always looking to connect with fellow filmmakers, so feel free to find me on Facebook and add me as a friend:

Thanks a lot to everyone that takes time to check it out and for the support!
