Is there a way to implement a low power alarm for those who have batteries that only gets the voltage indication passing through to the camera?

I would love to be able to program :

ALARM (visual and/or sound) at 13.5v
AUTO SHUTDOWN at 12.4v.

This shouldnt'be so difficult to implement ? ;-)

Please.

Yep. The ability to turn the feature on/off would be great too.

There are conditions under which an ordered shutdown, initiated by self-monitoring by the camera are available to the system. For instance, power save, so creating a new monitored condition to initiate shutdown seems tenable. I'd really appreciate that, or at least a flashy alarm. It is very distracting to have to keep track of operating voltage on set. It wastes a lot of "clock cycles" by us humans.

It would be great if the touch screen started to blink RED around the edges. Like an alarm. An actual sound would disrupt sensitive takes, but a visual alarm I'm all for.

+1 for a visual alarm. Or an audible alarm that is able to be disabled by choice.

What about a visual warning during recording.
Then and audible and visual warning when not recording.

Flashing red and then flashing white when you have just a few seconds before shutdown initiates.

I don't think that's ever going to happen cause we're supposed to be using batteries and plates sold or approved by RED... my XL Redvolts give me ample warning before shutting down.

We used to have that on the RED One. Never understood why it went away.

Red supports industry standard V and A/B batteries. They don't need to be sold or approved by Red. If you are having a specific issue, best to report that to Red so they can investigate.

Under some situations blinking could be disruptive too. E.g. A light blinking during a dark take.

I don't understand why we argue about such a basic feature for a camera?
Now I fully understand if RED won't put resources in this feature. They are doing such disruptive work for the rest of the camera.

I think it's the number one requested feature for years...I don't understand either...User specified voltage or percentage visual alarm would be amazing. I'm no engineer, but it shouldn't be too difficult.
