Film was shot entirely on Red using Zeiss Zf and Nikon lenses. (I had a small post in lens section).
The shoot took place in Macedonia and small part in Swiss.
I'll have some more footy posted soon along with some more info about the movie.

Thank you Red Team for helping and listening and making things happen.
Brent, Randy thanks again !!!

looks real good albert:)
stoked to see such beautiful images coming from still lenses..
I didnt see any focus pulling, but did you have any image shift from when you did any focus moves?

Thanks Zakaree
If you did not see any focus pulling then the Focus worked well.
The shot with a boy walking by the fence was done with 80-200 nikon. It's almost perfect, but the AC did it just by hand (no ff mounted) and he did excellent job considering the lens. (Edit:I have to check if he is OK with posting his name).
The mount was not perfect (the play problem) but we did not have any shifts visible on the footage.

Lovely cinematography. On the first video, with the old men carving and gardening, what kind of lighting did you use? Natural, bounce cards?

We were short in time and the bounce went for another setup.
Those stuff are second unit, done often between the setups with one camera. I had often 10 min to rehearse the actor, setup my frame and shoot.
The close-up is done with the camera set on my knee.

Beautiful work Albert!

Question - what is your take on the Zeiss ZFs vs. your Nikons? Besides mechanics, is it night and day difference between the glass? I own a bunch of really nice AIS glass that I love, but I've never done a side by side with a ZF.

Really nice stuff Albert. Looks like it might be a good film. Good luck man.

Very nice...

Jim
