  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

feature film SLAVE

we use tiffen promist 1/4, 1/8, 1/2

we (the two DoPs) just like highlights in images, and to soften this we use promist. would be the same if we use film.
main lenses are cooke S4 with their pleasant softness.
it gives the dark images some magic and a certain emotion we want to achieve.
a very dark myth - erotic thriller.

This is an unbelievable thread, absolutely gorgeous chiaroscuro lighting. I love working with large sources... great approach. I cannot wait to see these stills move! Thank you Jan for the stills and BTS pictures, I do not see how you do it all, but we are obviously thankful. My best wishes to you and the crew for all this inspiring work. Enjoy some rest...

Trailer

Trailer

here you can see the first trailer of SLAVE
we shot it already 2008 / 2009, not finished yet, but some first shots in movement right here ...

all i can say - this is the "old" m-sensor of course, and still the images look very cool in lowlight-situations.

contains some graphic scenes!

Some great looking m sensor footage here. What is the background on
this film...was it financed by a studio, production company, or
independently ?

Looks like you guys had a decent budget to work with..some very
striking imagery in this..well done.

thanks.
it´s completely independent. no studio, no TV station.
for the moment, there is a "lull" on this project without going in further details.
but i am sure it will be finished 2011, so the images are already color-graded, it´s just the sound that is not finished.
