FCS lockup with RedCine output...

Today I edit a spot with build 16 footage.

A couple of crashes in RedCine, no big deal, but more troublesome was the two crashes I experienced in FCS. Both times FCS locked up and had to be crashed, losing work since last save.

Both times I was in the transition editor; stepping back 5 frames at a time, one side of two windows would go solid green and produce the beach ball of death.

Other than that, no problems.

Perhaps the Red QT component needs a tweak.

Same here. I resorted to REDrushes an ProRes…

I get crashes and just generally weird things in FCS when editing with proxies.

Some footage shows the green stuff (shows orange bar in timeline as though it's an unlimited playback) when rolled forwards or back. Sometimes a weird black and white super high contrast image will show. Other images show black (when shown to be unlimited). Then as you scroll them will show frames from other clips in the timeline. Won't play back anything right until it's rendered and then it shows fine. All B16 footage.

Getting away from proxies as soon as possible is my solution and REDrushes is the ticket, I think.

My system will not even show the proxies, just green or white solids.

After upgrading everything problem solved.
