FCP7 to Color Workflow 3 - Scarlet Footage Not Recognized by Cinema Tools Database

As stated in the RED FCS Whitepaper

pg. 31 "This workflow describes transcoding to one of the Apple ProRes codecs for efficient offline editing, then exporting your edited sequence to Color via an Edit Decision List
(EDL), and relinking it to the original archived REDCODE media using a Cinedatabase. This workflow is ideal for programs that are not effects-intensive."

So I've followed the directions and when I create a Cinedatabase using my Scarlet REDCODE media I get a "No clips were added to the database" message. Its as if Cinema Tools doesn't recognize Scarlet redcode media. Is this something that might have been neglected in the recent FCS3 installer update from Red? Is this something that will be supported in an update?

I'd like to go with Workflow 3 as it offers the most versatility in using offline ProRes files created through RCX or FCP7 Log & Transfer.

Color won't work with Scarlet or Epic files. You should get yourself a copy of Davinci Lite.

Hi Jake, my understanding of the new FCS3 Installer from Red is that Scarlet and Epic files DO in fact work with Color. That was part of point of the entire update. Am I wrong?
