FCP Log and Transfer Plug-in won't install

I'm trying to install the FCP Log and Transfer Plug-in, but once I get to the Destination Select section of the installer window it won't let me in"stall onto my internal hard drive, telling me "You cannot install RED FCP Plugin on this volume. Make sure your system meets the requirements."

I'm running FCP 6.0.3. and have downgraded to QuickTime 7.3, everything else is fully updated. I just got a new MacPro, which obviously has an Intel Processor so I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong.

Why isn't this working? Can anybody actually tell me what the system requirements are?

I just had the same problem. i downloaded the plugin before installing FCP on a brand new mac pro
how did you solve it?

There are new apple pro app updates you need to try.

If I put a proxy directly into fcp and on the timeline and send then the timeline to color, it seems to work quite well. native in color is really interesting.... thats now a really interesting workflow...
one thing... when I open the Log and Transfer tool I cant load a clip... the proxies as the r3d files are grayed... also when I want to put from the finder a proxy on it, it not takes it ??? any thoughts ????

possibly because I installed the plugin before pro app. update ???? made the installer after again.... grrr

I have the same problem as you, I can't import any clip in the log and transfer window.
Just like you I have installed the plug in before pro app. update
Did you fine a solution??

Just run the Software Update in the OS and you will see a new pro apps update!!! install and update first!! it will update FCP to 6.0.5 and Color to 1.0.3 and then download the plug in from Red Support page!!

I will still run my workflow with RR and or Clipfinder...

no solution so far..... probably installing fcp new... good that my 8core is still waiting for the updates....

Trouble with seeing Log and Transfer plugin

I'm having trouble with the Log and Transfer plugin for Final Cut. I downloaded FCS installer from the RED site and installed it, but when I go to the Log and Transfer page I don't see it. Not sure if I installed it right. Do I have to change any settings in FCP? Also, I am working with the newest version of Final Cut and have a MAC Pro Quad-core. If anyone can help me that would be great.

Did you install the QT component first and then the FCS installer? That works for me.
