I'm having serious problems producing a DVD using DVD Studio Pro from Final Cut Pro ver. 6.5.

I've tried both compressor and Quicktime for compression using the Best Quality 60 min Anamorphic 720x480 settings. The results are noisy and highly compressed looking.

Does anybody know of a published workflow tutorial for RED footage using Apple Studio software?

Thank You

I just got great results. My first tests looked AWFUL! Noisy and blocky, much like you describe.

The answer for me was dropping the gamma by about 1.5 in compressor and adding contrast in FCP (using the good old 3-way) and it came to life. Some of the best compressor footage I've ever seen.

I have a Sonic SD-2000 hardware MPEGII encoder and didn't even use it.

make sure to make your dvd progressive. DVD studio pro will automatically make a 29.97 dvd unless you bring in an already made progressive scan file from compressor. That took me a while to figure out. Try that first, maybe that's throwing you off.
