Anyone know an easier way to sync footage up with overcranked I shot. Timeline is set to 23.98, same as camera settings, shooting at 48fps. Should I change Timeline to 24 to more closely match?

Any help would be appreciated.

Why would you need / want to "sync" up audio to overcranked footage? Whatever audio was recorded during the shoot will not stay in sync playing down once you've post-synced it. The base TC is still 23.98 but obviously the footage is not 1:1 -- that's the idea.

JD, it's a music video thing.

Justin, I'd not change the timeline to 24, it will probably just cause headaches later. Personally, I'd just sync each take at the head, and then razorblade the take halfway through the track and readjust sync by the frame or two that's needed.

On offspeed shots like that with playback, you'll probably get notes from somebody after first cut that they don't like the sync on a particular shot anyway, so why bother being technically perfect with it from the beginning when you're almost doomed to do some framef**cking later?
