Hallo everybody!

I'm a student from Hamburg, Germany, and i'm about to shoot a music video this weekend. The production grew very fast and now i have to manage the postpro workflow as well...

We shoot on a REDone, want to cut in FCP on a 8core Mac Pro and colorgrade on a DVS Clipster with Nucoda Film Master.

My idea is:

- cutting with QT Reference Files on FCP
- render it in HD, 10Bit
- colorgrade that in Nucoda
- export from Nucoda..

Is this gonna work? Does anybody have experience with FCP / Nucoda workflow?

Thanks for your input!

There is an upgrade for Nucoda to allow R3D direct import sinve last year, so you only need to export a EDL and go to the Nucoda´s house with the EDL and the original material.

Export in HD for Nucoda it´s not a good idea.

Cheers!

mmh...i think we need more features than supported by an EDL...we also consider using AfterEffects...that would be a problem, right? How can we solve this?

because we got a brand new dvs clipster with valhall panels, and i really want to get used to it...

...and i also want to learn to handle the DI workflow..

You're not making any sense. You're saying you're doing this on a Clipster, and then you say you're doing it on a Nucoda Film Master. Which is it?
