What formats and codecs will give me the fastest render times in RR? Is Prores faster than h264?

I find rendering 2K 2:1 in Quicktime h264 is taking about 30 minutes for each minute of footage, is that normal? (Macbook Pro 2.4Ghz, 4G ram, FW800 Raid, nothing else running).

Rendering a 4K 2:1 to 2k on a MBP 2.4 goes at about 11:1 for me. On an 8core it's about 3:1.

It does use the rsx in/out. Make sure you have cliprsx selected.

I think h264 renders much slower than ProRes

So 2k 2:1 to 2k 2:1 should render even faster, shouldn't it?

Does the level of OLPF compensation or noise reduction affect render times?

Is there any reason why 120FPS (base framerate 23.98) would render slower?
