Did a quick google search and couldn't find anything relevant. Just wondering what is the fastest thing ever recorded in slow motion or regular motion for that matter?

A few things come to mind (hummingbird wings, bullets, etc) but I'm sure there are much faster things that have been recorded.

Thoughts?

this is the first thing that comes to my mind

I was going to mention this, but you beat me to it. Interesting to note that the 'flame' seen on this shot isn't from burning propellant; railguns are purely electrical. But the sabot is travelling so fast the shockwave ionises the air as it passes, producing a plasma...

That's why Montana reinstated the speed limit.

that rail gun clip is pretty cool... the fastest thing i've ever seemed filmed for tv was a bullet being shot near glass containers to see if the shockwave could break the glass (mythbusters)
