Does anyone else want faster frame rates at smaller windows? I would love a 300fps windowed 1080p or even 720p. Possible with a rolling shutter? You'd need a lot of light obviously. Sorry if this is in the wrong place or has been answered before.

Answered before. The maximum cycle rate or frame rate of the sensor is 120Hz. And we already have that with 2K. So smaller windowed areas won't let you go faster than that. Pretty cool really, since many of us put money down on the camera thinking that 120fps would only be available at 720p.

Thanks for the answer. I did a search but it eluded me.

To be fair, some of us put our money down when we read 4k@60fps, but 3k will do!

and to be fair.. when you were promised 4k@60fps, that was recording to a small fridge...

If 4K@60P and/or uncompressed raw would be available via fridges - i would be pretty interested in some kitchentech from red then....

yah. I'm in for a fridge. Especially if it costs what small fridges cost. The fortunate thing about entering the world of movie making is that it makes everything else seem cheap. After looking into tripods, EVFs and HMIs, I don't even blink if something costs $1000. It's like taking your car to the mechanic and getting it back for $100.
