I need a laptop for H264 exports when out of the office. Speedy export times would be the absolute priority. I have a 2014 13" MacBook Pro Retina that just isn't cutting it. Either considering a new 15" MacBook Pro maxed or a MSI.

I'm based in Premeire. I love the Mac system but wouldn't mind going to PC for this if processing would be much higher. About a $3k budget. Any suggestions?

It's really whatever video card you have that it'll decide. Premiere and Media Encoder rely heavily on the GPU. Have you looking into external GPUs? A 1080ti or TitanXP would crush it for you.

Check out Eurocom's Tornado F5 (MSI 16L13)

4k screen,
full desktop GTX 1080
skylake or kaby lake processors
up to 64GB of RAM

We have one from last April and it has a i7 6700k, 32gb RAM, GTX 980m. It does pretty good with our 6k Dragon footage on the road. I am tempted to replace the GPU with one of those 1080.

It's nice that the model is up-gradable and tune-able. There is a forum with 600 pages of chat just on this model with some really useful info. Lots of guys overclocking for games. I just leave it stock so far to keep things reliable. - http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...f5-evoc-16l-g-1080-15-6-owners-lounge.797128/

If you do get one, there are a few things those guys talk about like different thermal paste and cooling fans and such, worth a look.
