This is a video that I did a few weeks ago (photography and operating). Edited and graded by the director himself according to the client's wishes. There may be a future version, with more narrative, and then I may be able to fix some overexposure issues that I don't like from the current version (I've checked the .R3D and they are fine).

Main camera was a Red One Mysterium-X with a very rare set of anamorphic lenses that rents out here in Spain (named UltraScope, but with no relation to the set of lenses created by Jan Jacobsen in the late 1950's). The set comprises a 25, 32, 40, 50, 75, 100 and 180mm lenses, plus a 50-500 rear adapted Cooke Varotal MKII. Common aperture for all lenses is T/2.2, except the 180mm lens, that opens up to T/2.8, and the zoom, which losses about two stops of light and is a T/5.6. We used all of them on this video.

Second or "B" camera was a Canon 7D equiped with macro lenses.

We shot everything in one day, in about 9 hours. Available light, no reflectors, no fill, and very wide apertures most of the time.

The location was a forest near Valsain (Segovia, Spain), the same place that was used for the opening scenes of John Milius' "Conan The Barbarian".

Hope you will find it interesting.

Yes, it is, but with only one week after shooting to deliver the video, I wasn't able to supervise the grading. Anyway, it wasn't an easy shoot. That day the sky was cloudy, but there were darker clouds passing very often and this caused severe exposure changes. There were periods of rain too. Plus I had snow in many shots, which also requires a certain exposure to appear correctly on the screen (yellow in false color), but then I had to compromise because the model and the clothes were the main subject and had to be exposed correctly and, while the MX has a good latitude, sometimes it was hard to expose her and the background (which was often darker) at the same time without lights and reflectors and keep a good balance.
