Fascinating Ansel Adams video discusses image post production

Ansel was a great person. In the late 70s I was asked to shoot a portraite of him at his house. I was so nervous I think I came off looking like an idiot. He could sense my nervousness, maybe the rivers of sweat pouring down my face had something to do with it, but he took great pains to put me at ease. I'll never forget it.

Amazing story, Peter.

I think our own Kennan Ward also had some personal experience with Ansel.

Peter, that's a story. It would be nice to see that picture.

I have to do a bit of digging to find those negs, I'll see what I can do. Another thing that happened during the shoot was he shot a portraite of me. I should try to find that as well. It was a SX70.

Best, P
