  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

So I've been searching around for the past couple days and can't seem to find any answers. I'm currently trying to put audio into my Scarlet with little success. I got a custom made balanced 3.5mm to Female XLR. It is wired correctly for Red according to the manufacture.
Now I tried many different mic's into the cable but everything I have tried has a hum/interference from the Scarlets fan. It goes up and down depending on the fan speed.
I've read a few others on here have experienced this problem as well, just haven't come across any answers/solutions..

So what have you guys figured out? If it helps, only the left channel is coming through but I believe that's normal? Sorry I'm not too good with audio. Is anything pointing to this cable being wired incorrectly?

Thanks in advance.

I heard this for a sec in our first audio test, unplugged everything and started over and haven't heard it since.

Thanks for that Andrew. I just updated to latest firmware and I am still getting fan feedback into both front audio plugs. Just did a test and I can hear the fan feedback through headphones without anything even plugged into the mic jacks. I guess I'll have to ask Red.
