  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

False color callibration

Thanks Dylan
I'm getting dizzy myself!
I hope this might be improved upon in the future but for now I'll stick to what we have been doing .....RAW with a histogram. Thanks again

all this could be nice if by means of the user buttons you can make sure you see the rgb parade in raw and false color in rec 709, so that you know what's actually happening and what will more or less happen in post at more or less the same time. But I haven't been changing the user buttons for a while so I don't know right now if you can do that with the buttons instead of having to go through the menu all the time.

The RGB parade is always showing you RAW.

So what you describe is what exists. So if you are in REC709 and are viewing false color - the RGB parade is still showing you RAW.

You all do know that there is a setting for the histogram to be a RAW histogram. Choices being, MONO, LUMA, RGB and RAW.

That sounds excellent, or am I wrong? You check in the RGBparade what's actually happening, at the push of a button you get a good idea of what happens when you start applying curves when you watch REC709 or Redspace in false colour

Dylan, I'm getting dizzy myself now. I changed video/view/ raw to rec 709 assuming that the rgb parade would remain the same but I'm pretty sure it changed; i.e., it stretched both to the left and the right; which suggests it doesn't show raw anymore but rec 709 instead. The only thing I'm happy about is: finally my sekonic tells me that Red is 320 iso

Don't have my camera here, so I can't test. But Stuart described the RGB parade as the "RAW METER" in that thread...

"You do, that's the function of the RAW meter between the Histogram and the Traffic Lights...."

Just repeating info from that thread.

I wonder if Stuart will jump into the Escher maze once more.
