Just a quick note to anyone who has seen this clip - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4GhuxTSAvA&feature=fvwrel and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VD-W7be2wIc&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL

It's not actually RED Scarlet-X footage... back in November the title of the clip was "Canon C300 Test Footage" and it received a lot of 'thumbs down' ratings and people saying it was fake (which it was too) ... but then the owner then changed the title to "Red Scarlet 4K Test Footage" to get views on YouTube ... The dates the videos were uploaded were the biggest giveaway

But since ratings and comments are disabled now ... I think many who aren't that into RED won't know that they're actually not seeing footage made by the Scarlet ... kinda misleading actually.

I tried to flag it as misleading text but it hasn't worked either so.....

I suggest not linking to those videos. The only thing you're really doing is help generate more views. Perhaps link to his channel to leave a comment there.

Yeah I remember seeing that vid when it was supposedly c300 footage also, and I flagged it then too! So, flagged again with a smile!

Ive noticed a lot of these lately for different types of cameras, where the person says shot on X, Y or Z and it clearly isnt.

Very true. You have just adding 5,000 views by posting this.

I heard that's becoming a big problem these days. Forced gun-to-head camera buying markets. :)

I would never make camera buying decision based on compressed and resized videos. If someone put a gun to my head and forced me to, youtube would be my last choice.

Except that all the people who go from that link are likely flagging it, so I doubt he's happy about the publicity. Regardless, how is it supposed to be taken down otherwise?

Unfortunately, someone at Youtube reviewing the videos will never think it's a "spam" or having "inappropriate text" which we're flagging for. Also, we only know this is fake Scarlet footage because he has stated that it was C300 footage in the past but how is anyone supposed to be able to tell if it actually has any Scarlet footage or not.

Also, Youtube will only take down a video if it violates the Terms of Service. Simply, it's not possible to take down a video based on "inaccurate" video title.

Bottomline, we're just giving this douchebag what he want, more views.

Yeah , but the worse thing is YouTube has now used one of his videos as a "Featured Video" so that means it will appear more often at the related/suggested videos on the sidebar :c

I think the only possible way to take it down might be is if RED step in -- maybe. Still, there's nothing about having a "misleading title" violating Youtube Terms of Service.
