Hello

I was under the impression that I could do this, but when I dismount my 80-200 2.8 ed nikon lens from my d-200, the aperture gets goes back to a 22.

Is there something I am not doing.

Also would have assumed that someone else would have posted on this and I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Thanks

Best

I think they are all spring loaded, so returns. I'm assuming you are talking about the non manual aperture version of this lens? At the back of the lens there is a little lever you can see the iris open and close as you move it.

Yes I know about the leveller buy is there a way to set the iris with my dale body?

I have the red nikon mount but would like to is my ED nikon 80-200 zoom. Is there any way to do this without the long valley equip mount?

No, Does anyone know the answer to my original question??? and yes my lens does NOT have an iris ring,

I think the trick with setting the aperture on the DSLR body is for Canon only.

For Nikon lenses without aperture ring, you need something like the Long Valley Nikon mount.

However, all Nikon 80-200 lenses have an aperture ring. (But the 70-200 does not.)
