I haven't posted footage in awhile, but I'm testing out a new lens along with a new theater experience. I can't really talk about it until September, but let's just say it's pretty badass.

This is with a Sigma 4.5mm fisheye. Build 15 ISO 400 F22. Bright sunny Texas day.

One reason this is an interesting shot, is that the sun is in frame and there is no purple dot (the "black sun" problem many people have complained about). Or maybe it's still there, but just so small that it's not visible in the downscaled frame?

Nice, interesting shots.
Just out of interest, how do plan to deal with the port holing, or are you going to keep the image as is?

I love fisheyes, but am not a huge fan of all the black space with the super wides, the widest full frame I can find from Nikon is the 16mm (the 10.5mm is DX, so no iris control and will probably clip a bit on the RED sensor)

The idea is to matte out the black. The image will be projected with a fisheye lens so ideally the full frame won't be necessary to capture. And yes, there is not purple sun, and you won't see it in the R3D files either.

I personally love how the sun flares out, diffusing the light over a few different points.

Have you cropped the image at all? I am looking for a lens that will project the full circular image onto the recorded area. What lens set up did you use?
