Hello,

I shot a music video and had a little mike tapped onto the camera to have some audio guides when editing. Question is how do I get this info out of the RED files ? Never done this before.

I can hear the audio in the old Redcine but I want to use the new software to take benefit of the new color science and such...

Thanks.

If you search for VirtualDUB and R3D plug-in I think you can make a 16bit WAV from the R3D in camera audio.

Forgot to mention I'm working on Windows. So I think that's a no go for what you are suggesting Matt.

thanks.

EDIT: I tried Virtual Dub and it works mighty fine. Thanks Dan. But i'm curious I tried opening R3d files in Virtual Dub with 1/18 quality and it still sttuters. Is it because it is badly optimized ?

Exactly- if you opened the same clip in say windows Adobe Premiere you'd be all set- assuming you have a fast computer/drives, etc.

yea, i'd do that but Adobe does not know yet to work with the new color science so i'm losing some quality.
