Hey guys this question may have been asked a million times by now, but I am wondering if it would be possible to use an aftermarket hard drive in replace of the Red Drive. The RD is great but I have 4 32GB SSD drives that I bought for a raid array and that did not work out that well due to incompatible motherboard that does not support raid.

If anyone knows where this topic has been discussed please point me in to the right direction. Any insight from the workflow gurus would be greatly appreciated. And a word from Jim would be awesome.

Before anyone states the obvious, yes I know that the cameras are not out yet.

Does anyone know about the I/O ports on the camera? I am hoping to find that there is a SATA or ESATA port on board.

Wow my name has been changed. But anyway, being that it is a repinned eSATA connection is it possible to get a cable to fit to an external Hard Drive?

Red Drive needs two 2,5" Drives in Raid0 Stripe to sustain the needed speed.

in theory could build it with your four ssd in stripe config with a raid electronica... and then...

lose your warranty if anything goes wrong

the diagram of the esata-lemo cable is published for adventurers in the manual

but think about the time Red needs to develop RedRam.
