This is likely a dumb question but here goes:

I bought a SmallHD Indie 7 to use as my external monitor and also bought the expander module with my Komodo. The control cable that connects the Indie 7 to the Komodo body is a 5 to 9 pin lemo but when I add the expander, the expander module uses the same port that the Indie 7 was using. If I wanted to leave the expander module attached AND use the Indie 7, how do I connect the control cable? Is there another cable that I need to buy? I'm new to RED and the connectivity has me a little confused at times.

Hi Chris,

Did that cable work for you? I have the exactly the same problem. Need to input timecode and use the Indie 7 simultaneously. Got an expander module but can't plug both in at once.

Thanks

I bought the Cine7 Komodo bundle to use with mine. When it arrived, I found they had sent the wrong cable (the 4-pin one for RED CTRL). Contacted SmallHD and they shipped the correct 9-pin Komodo EXT cable right away, and even told me I could keep the wrong cable. Kudos to them. Turns out that was a bonus though, because I needed to expand the EXT for timecode and the fastest option I could get was the Wooden Camera B-Box, which had the RED CTRL port.
