I've got a Max Digital Mobile Rocket, and it's been behaving well for quite some time, but all of a sudden, the expresscard icon has stopped showing up in the menu bar, and RedCineX doesn't recognize the Rocket. I can't tell if this is an expresscard/Mac issue or a Rocket/Mobile Rocket issue. Any ideas?

Running 10.6.8 on a 17" 2.3 GHz MacBook Pro

Thanks!
Frazer

Should also note that plugging in the Mobile Rocket to the expresscard causes the Rocket's fan to turn on, the light on and the express card adapter turns green.

I've zapped the P-Ram to no effect.

Thanks,
Frazer

Heya Frazer,

Does you mobile Rocket enclosure have a Thunderbolt port? I'd first try it on another system with Thunderbolt to rule out the Rocket/Enclosure issue. I'm sure Chater can sort you out there :)

From there, I think you'll have to work backwards from the Rocket and try different Expresscard adapters, different cables, etc. to isolate the issue. One thing you might want to pay attention to is the order in which you patch all the pieces, and whether the system is on or off before you patch.

Best of luck!
