Just trying to figure out what would be the best Express 34 Card for Esata connection in to my MacBook Pro i7 2.3 8gig to down load REDmags and to do some editing with an external toaster esata drive?
Any info and suggestions would be great.
Sonnet
CalDigital
or any other reviews or info and why that choice?

I have one too and it's good. The only problem I ever had was when I was running OS X Lion in 64 bit mode, it misread part of a clip and it ended up having huge issues, by the end of the clip it was strobing to black. Apparently, I read somewhere else, that it works perfectly if you boot into 32 bit mode.

I've been using it on Mountain Lion since then and haven't had any more issues but it's worth being aware of. I assume doing proper copying with MD5 checks would catch a glitched transfer but I was trying to be as quick as possible at the time. Paid for that, I guess!

I have the sonnet temp pro. Gotta install the drivers, then on my MBP, it works great.

Griffin has one which i bought for $9.99 and is now $22. It has worked flawlessly. All you have to do is download their driver/firmware and you're good to go.

Hey Chris,
I have the same express card and it won't work with the Lion and their website says it won't update their driver(or what ever). Are you on a mac and able to make it work with the latest OS...?

Thanks
Eric
