Some posts on this forum has suggested the head room of Redspace is about 1/2 stop. With build 16 I check the exposure with the Raw view and have discovered (that outdoors) the head room of Redspace in very much image dependent. I think even witnessed a difference around 3/2 stops. Can't yet say what was the exact difference for I was filming bears during the sun set and thus had very little time to record technical details of the camera. Yet, I've also seen that sometimes the difference between Redspace and Raw view can be very small. The difference is measured by "shooting on the right" and making sure none of the color channels clips.
It seems if there is evening or morning sky in the image, that tends to make a big difference. As well, while filming late in the evening and early in the morning noticed that with long 400mm and 600mm lenses the difference between Redspace and Raw was much bigger than with a 80-200mm zoom although no framing included the sky.
It would be handy if the metering could be set to show the raw view while otherwise the image were shown in Redspace. I think Mark from Offhollywood already suggested somewhere this, so I second here his request.
