Is it possible to export a dpx sequence out of color? I had read on the cow that you can create a new Color project, then set the render type to DPX, import your quicktime(or whatever file you are using), do the color grade, then export a dpx sequence from color. Is this possible? Thank you in advance.

Sure set it as the render format and you'll be all set. However if you are going to work a lot with DPX, you really want the Glue Tools plugin:

I also use Glue Tools in FCP after outputting from Color sometimes. Keep the import gamma setting to auto will handle the gamma properly and show it intact with the look in Color on FCP.

If you want to composite the output from Color in After Effects, Cineon format would import without extra software.

awesome, that sounds like just the trick to get my uncompressed quicktimes color timed, and export cineon files to bring back to after effects on the pc side without any change. Anyone have any words of worry for me to look out for?

Also, the film is one large quicktime from My after effects (from pc) can I cut up the sequence in fcp, and send it to color, or should I bring it in some other way? Thank you guys for the help.
