EVF & LCD cables the same?

I need to order another one and I'd like to know if the LCD and EVF cables are the same except the obvious difference of the 'EVF' cable having two right angles. If they are the same, then why are they branded like that? Why not just have them as EVF/LCD cable in either two right-angle plugs or one right-angle one straight plug?

Yep, the same... Just the "evf" cable has two right angle connectors.

Are these repairable? I've got a bogus LCD cable and it seems like it just has a loose wire in one end of the connector. That being said, I would hate to drop $180 if i could have it repaired for less.

we repaired one once, it lived for another few days. long enough for a replacement to arrive.

Keep the lemo connectors, they are expensive, and could come in handy.
