My EVF mounting arm is broken after used for 20 days.
Broken meaning, when I connect EVF to the arm and the second end to Red body, it doesn't stay in a fixed position. I tried all the means, but, it just doesn't stay. It just falls down. Last week, I had to shoot holding EVF in one hand. I looked at Element Technica's EVF mount, way too expensive.
Can any one advise an alternative mounting option for the EVF ?

Thanks

By "EVF mounting arm", are you talking about the RED arm or another third party mounting arm? I agree, a mounting "arm" is not ideal. I use the ET mount, which is great, but indeed a pretty penny to acquire. I'm not sure of any other alternatives, hopefully another reply below mine will fill that in.

I would gaff tape the crap out of that thing to the side of body for a quick fix until you can get a new arm or convince the production to invest in an ET mount. Good luck.

That noga arm has one 1/4-20 thread and one 3/8-16 thread, so if you can deal with the larger thread going into the body, you're fine (I think the cheeseplate works).

That arm is definately stronger, it will hold a panasonic 8.4" monitor with a hytron 140 battery with only slight slippage. the EVF is much lighter than that.

Murali, let me know if you need me to take a look at that RED Arm.
