  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EVF, Does it use more power than the LCD??

Yes the EVF and LCD in addition to the drive kill batteries at 45miniutes per charge.

Just had my first shoot with the EVF and it seemed like the batteries were going down quickly, does anyone know if this is the case or is it just me?

Thanks, Mark

can you confirm you were just using the evf, WITHOUT lcd ? BTW, how did you find focus pulling with evf ? I don't see any reason why pulling focus should be more difficult than with a slr still camera. Yet, the issue has been pointed many times. Am I off the track here ?

We used the EVF with and without the LCD. The EVF is better for pulling focus than the LCD, I guess it is higher resolution.

Using an SLR you you can use the auto focus, i can focus by hand on my SLR.

What else were you running from the camera? A REDBRICK 140 will run my test camera + REDDRIVE + EVF + LCD for 90+ minutes in continuous record....
