  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Estimate delivery Scarlet

Anyone's guess. It all depends on mount/cam availability. It seems they've really ramped up production on everything and they're apparently still on target to be mostly out of backorder in March. PL/Ai Canon/Ti Canon in that order seem to be the fastest to slowest to ship so far. But everything is subject to change.
 
I would say it will start being a lot shorter from here on out. First they are ramping up production as mike pointed out. The 3rd, the 4th, and to a lesser extent, the 5th was the initial rush of orders. So we are almost over the hump (I ordered on the 10th).
 
Has anyone who ordered AFTER the 3rd received their SX? Last I saw (around Scarlet #10xx) was still received by someone who ordered at like 8pm on the 3rd.
 
I have ordered mine mere minutes after it was online on the 3rd and still yet to see the camera...
The reason for that is the Titanium Canon Mount. Now they have seem to cought up with it, but the point is that any component may suddenly become backordered and can hold up your camera. Basically anyone's guess is as good as yours and you can count on all of them being wrong...

Now is does not necessarily mean to be negative - just simply stating that it is impossible to predict when equipment will arive...
 
The latest official word is that Scarlet is on track to be out of backorder by the end of March.

Of course, things can change. But this is the most recent, best-guess estimate given by Jarred Land.
 
I have been able to get no information from Red about my when my camera will be allocated. The chorus sings that production has increased and it bounces around the echo chamber (many more such echoes in the posts that follow this one). I've not seen any support of that myself so I reserve the right to not know for sure, as unpopular as that is. It may have increased or it may have decreased. Although it seems unlikely, production or shipping of some things may have stopped altogether. I haven't done an exhaustive search but I haven't seen anyone say "my rep said production has increased." It's possible they have and I haven't seen it.

However, if I remember correctly what I read in December(?), Red has said we'd be out of backorder in 14 days from today. If they said that then I'm sure it's true.

I'm in the same boat. I ordered mine Dec 29th as well. I've told my rep to hold all accessories for me until my brain is ready. I live in SoCal so its a 40 minute drive to Irvine. As of 2 weeks ago, my rep said all accessories could be picked up except LCD and Side handle.

I would guess May-June for you.

I wouldn't say that. A guy who ordered on Jan 5th got his allocation today. I ordered on the 29th of Dec, too. I don't see why wait time would increase as orders get later, especially since order volume decreased after nov 3rd and 4th.

That is the allocation email. Then the next one is shipping after those 5-7 days. At least thats how it was for my accessories.

That was a PL mount, they're on a completely different schedule.

I'm November 15th and I don't expect mine until mid-March at the earliest.

That can't be right. You mean he already has allocation for his brain ordered on Jan5? If so he must know somebody lol..

There's a bunch of Al Canon Mounts being allocated right now from later in November. I'm sure they'll be caught up to at least Dec/Jan by the end of March, don't see why they wouldn't be if they are really moving along in manufacturing as jared says they are.

I've seen up to about November 5th so far.

There are still some from November 3rd that haven't been allocated.

Can you show me one from 'later in November'?

It's a PL mount, but still. Orders are moving along. I doubt wait time is going t drastically increase from about 1-3 months in some cases to about 5-6 months for later orders. Like I said, especially since the rate of orders dropped off significantly after the 3rd/4th, and manufacturing is said to be catching up.
 
I was at RED in Irvine yesterday. They seemed busy as all hell. I picked up everything from my Scarlet AL Package, with the exception of the brain and side handle. I ordered on December 12th. I have a gig in Northern Italy in April and gently asked if they thought the brain and side handle would be available. No promises, other than to say that production was really ramping up.

They're mostly from 4th or 5th, but i did see a Dec 4th on there too. Compared to the volume of orders on the 3rd though, 4-5th is later in Nov. lol
